Ron Paul: Who Owns You (Narrated By George Carlin)
i feel the only reason why most people on this sight like Ron Paul is because of his views about marijuana. just because he wants to legalize it, then everyone idolizes him and thinks hes gonna be the greatest thing to happen to the country. So if we vote him in and our economy, and the whole country around it fail because of his "changing" the government for the "greater good" is all going to be outweighed because now we can legally smoke pot? it seems like thats all that people on this sight are drawn in under the false pretenses that under him, we will see legal marijuana. but didnt you know that to legalize it, it also has to pass through congress? start by electing on the state level then work your way up to the congressional level to see those kinds of changes that you think are gonna come by electing a president.

Dream soo if the government values educating its people why does your education system rank at the bottom of most lists compared to other weathy nations???Actions speak louder than words buddy...Comparing a person from 1776 to present day is like comparing apples to oranges come on.Someone in the ghetto is alot smarter than someone in 1776 but it still doesnt mean anything its when you compare people from other developed countries then youll see the difference.Your country makes it harder for a poor person to get a proper education than other countries.Example if i wanted to get a student loan in Canada i can regardless whether or not i have a criminal record ,can you say the same??

really because every website I check out on google tells me otherwise. Ok so we're not number one but we're certainly not at the bottom. In fact we're no where near the bottom. Heaven forbid because we arn't as smart as the Japanese that proves the whole conspiracy of the government trying to keep us stupid just for more power. And as for Markass's comment....I feel very sorry for you. Sure Ron Paul may be more honest than the other presidents but does that make his policies sound? For one thing his whole foreign policy is messed up. Its like he thinks the middle east will just forgive and forget just like that and everyone can live happily ever after and freely trade with everyone. I agree with some of the things he says about our foreign relations such as getting rid of our military bases in non hostile territories but his whole exit stradegy for Iraq is no stradegy at all. It's basically lets get the hell out of there and smoke a blunt.
Furthermore, his domestic policies are scary as hell. Sure he wants to legalize pot which is awesome but at the same time he wants to get rid of almost all of our government programs and completely get rid of taxes. I hate doing taxes but I understand the importance of giving my money up to the country because its for these social programs the government had set up. What he needs to be aiming for is not to just get rid of these agencies but rather revamp them. We still need things like the FDA or the social security system. We just need to re organize it more efficiently. Its like throwing out a bike that can still be fixed. And going back to the taxes issue, the idea of taxes is a very good thing, however, the practice of it is flawed. The money that we are giving to the government isn't being distributed properly. If we could fix that only then will taxes work accordingly to our desired social services. Ron Paul just wants to go back to the 19th century. The 19th century sucked. We don't need to get rid of these programs and taxes but rather re organize them.\"Look hard in the mirror. Look at that ghost that stares back at you. sounds to me like you don't know very much about ron paul...He's to do a lot more things to turn this country around than ending the drug war. We listened to bush when he said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction...If Ron Paul's elected I think him telling people about the utter failure the war on drugs actually is this country will shift it's role in the drug war.

more like thats just the way it is. I mean yeah we're a powerful country but we're certainly not perfect. In any case I don't see how you can justify this conspiracy theory on the fact that we're ranked at the bottom of the top portion of the list rather than the top. I don't know about anyone else in America but I can learn whatever the hell I want to learn with governmental assistance. I even have a really poor friend who grew up on the streets in Baltimore and he's even going to college....and trust me he's not that smart so lets see how ever did get into school? Government grants. You're right we haven't put as strong of an emphasis on education and the numbers clearly show this but its not because our government is supressing us and trying to make us stupid but rather we are focusing on other issues such as this big conflict in the middle east.
And as far as Markasses last remark, please enlighten all of us on the other policies Ron Paul has to offer and also why putting money out into the economy is bad? (I agree with the money part but frankly I don't believe you know what you're talking about but you are rather uttering direct words from Ron Paul).\"Look hard in the mirror. Dream its not the fact that you guys have other things on the table, its the fact that public schools in your country (as well as mine but to a lesser degree) have been on the decline for at least 17 years.I wouldnt call it a conspiracy by the government to keep the little guy down but you have to wonder where their loyalties stand. All politicians have to look after there base and its the people with money who benifit not the little guy.Dream who is that picture in your avatar???

It is the big money people that matter more in politics but what breeds these rich people? Yeah there are old money people but eventually they run out and a new Rockafeller must emerge and how does one do this? Education. The government knows this and it obviously won't benefit them if a bunch of idiots are in this country. Supressing knowlege only works with facist nations and I know you're gonna rant on about how we're facists and thats not true. We did some bad things but so did Britian, France, Russia, Italy, Spain, and a whole mess of other countries.

Dont know who tim and eric are sorry.Well i feel that the gvernment does not want an educated population because who would fight their wars for them.If everybody in America knew that Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction and no connection to 9/11 then do u think youd be in Iraq today? So i dont think it does serve the government well to have a well educated population.
