In my opinion the lollipop style is not a way to get the best yield possible. Kinda the opposite of the picture you got is what I was trying to say. If you are going for bushier plants with more buds or colas, then you need to cut the main middle cola when topping. This will make the lower or side shoots get bigger. The goal should be to sort of spread out the plant so as much of it as possible gets light. The opposite of that is the lollipop style in which there is just one big cola. If you don't prune at all, a plant will end up shaped like a christmas tree, with one cola getting most of the light. Generally you'll want your canopy to look more like a field or carpet.

how do i do this do i just prune these side colas before they grow too big? and this will still give me the same yeild yes? ok im off to read up on FIMing now cheers.
