I still don't understand what the big deal is. I haven't read anything that Rev Wright said that is that bad. He seems to take the viewpoint from poor black people. Its not unreasonable that poor black people would share some of these viewpoints. I think quite a few white people share these viewpoints.

The statements Rev. Wright made before his recent comments aren't a big deal. But these ones like continuing to insinuate that the government caused aids to eliminate black people and insinuating that Obama secretly concurs??

It's like he's trying to bring down Obama. The sad thing is Rev. Wright isn't defending his church, he's using his newfound flame to bask in his ego. It's obvious.

Its not my belief but I have talked to blacks who have felt this way. And you can't blame them. They got a raw deal during the formative years of this country just like native americans,mexicans and the chinese did. Its very difficult for a government to retrieve any kind of trust when we have a history like ours. Weain't no saints.

The things that Rev.Wright is saying is no big deal I heard all the same things hes saying growing up. If you heard the things my dad and grandpa has said you would be even more shocked and be like what the fuck. Growing up in those times there is still some anger and most of the older black americans still fill anger in them. But I remember what my grandpa told me one time that hes glad that I dont have to go through the things he went through and he was proud of the changes that america has takin on in making things better for blacks. As a black man myself I do work hard for my kids and to show them that they are the future and that they are blessed that men like my grandfather fought the fight to be equal with all races. All Rev.Wright had to do wasnot to show his ass on national tv and Im ashamed as a black man to see that happen. I dont blame Barack for doing what he did and I know it hurt to do it. What the media needs to do dont give Rev Wright any more attention and he will go away. Because what hes going to do is hurt himself not Barack and desrtroy the relationship hes has in his community and within the church hes has built.:rasta::rastasmoke:imp:
