outdoor lst - come on in

i am so stoked right now. my new outdoor spot is looking promising. i went back to see my old outdoor crop and pick up some supplies. its been like 2 weeks since my plants had received water and they looked real droopy then - 3 confirmed females that didnt look too bad got transported to the new spot. it was a bitch, and 2 of them got supercropped accidently. but we soaked them real good and within 2 hours they were completely upright and the leaves were shooting straight out. my buddy and i were having a hard time differentiating them because they looked like completely diff plants

royal purple x master kush clones (CLIMATIZED for 30 years) on their way to that spot as well. auto drip on a timer and i never have to check on them. one more night trip out their w/ more soil and goodies, and another day to clear out and plant clones and it will be set

oh yeah pilav is looking bomb. finally was able to check my ph and it was 7.2, so I got the ph stuff to correct it down to 6.5. her first watering with properly ph'd water will be tonight, but it already looks 10x better since the burn. a lot of hairs changing colors and the buds are swelling. definitely going to harvest something off of her.

    srry for the essay, peace

these pics r from yesterday, so 42 days from flower, 43 today.

any input on thoughts on a guesstimate to time left is appreciated! i want the perfect 50/50 and my buddies got a nice magnifying lens

pilav is definitely recovering strongly, and besides the ugly burnt leaves it seems to be doing well. all the little new leaves on the buds are green and my ph has been perfect the last few days.

2 more. my gods gift outdoor got topped by some kind of animal.... like the 10th plant that has happened to this year. but its ok because they usually do a might fine job of topping and the plant recovers nicely. the gods gift has new shoots and looking fairly well besides minor insect problems and underfed. nutes and pesticide coming soon

greenatik, it looks like you have made a mighty fine recovery since my last visit of your thread! I missed a lot of action on Pilav, but she seems to be looking much better now you have your ph problem worked out. This board is a great resource of highly intelligent, educated, and experienced minds to find a solution in a serious time of need! Glad you were able to find the help you needed in this instance to salvage a true beauty of a plant!

Your new outdoor location sounds amazing. And, all of your new strains are really making me anxious to get my beans in the mail! I can't wait to get more plants going! I hope you have the same success outside as you did inside with Pilav!

Good luck, my friend! Be good out there!

Thanks for stopping by again Jake! Yes, this board is filled with experienced growers and I was able to pinpoint my problem within a day or so, thanks to Stinky of course

It was an overfert problem, which makes perfect sense. I have always felt like my outdoor plants aren't getting enough food/nutes because I only visit them once a week. So when I was able to pamper pilav, I overdid it. I am in the process of designing my next PC build. It is a server case and about 26" tall. Will be shooting for 6-9 plants. Haven't decided if I am going to do a small HPS w/ glass shield or stick to CFL

So, what beans did ya order? It is always a lot more fun working with named genetics, especially if its a strain that has what your looking for. I just got some G13 x Hashplant, but only 4 beans out of 14 popped. must be the genetics as i've never had such a low success rate.

I'll be stoppin by your log soon jake,

    peace!

I can understand the propensity to over-fertilize - I have to restrain myself all the time, especially since it's been raining just about every day following my watering my plant with bloom ferts. It's just like washing your car right before it rains - very frustrating.

As for the beans I am expecting, I ordered Nirvana's Pure Power Plant, New Purple Power, and Papaya; they were shipped by seed-boutique back on June 10th, and I have not received them yet; I'm starting to think they aren't going to make it - again my luck! I'm keeping my fingers crossed though.

Sorry to hear about the low germination rate of the G13 - I just read about someone else really wanting to try a G13 cross; I haven't read/heard much about it, but it must be pretty darn sweet!

I look forward to your visit to my log, my friend! I hope you like my plant's progress!

    Be good out there!

greenatik! It looks like you answered the magnifying glass question, eh? Your camera is much better than mine though, as you have some sweet lookin' trich, pistil, and hair pics! You've always had some sweet photography within your log!

I can't wait for more pictures of your outdoor plants, and Pilav is looking outstanding following her dehydration. I still believe your Pilav looks much sweeter than MIQ, and seems to be developing much better than MIQ. I think Pilav is almost 2 weeks ahead of MIQ on flowering, so maybe the mini ice queen will be able to catch up - if she ends up lookin' 1/2 as hot as Pilav, she won't be hurtin' for suitors (I'm not into swingin' whatsoever, but I will have to share her with some friends and family!)

I hope all is well with you, my friend. Have a great remainder of your weekend! Be good out there!

yeah sorry about the lack of photos on my outdoor crops... i even brought my camera to all my spots yesterday, but was so busy fixing my main drip line (a deer must of tripped it) that I forgot to snap pictures. I was excited to come back and see them all on drip for 5 days to find my reservoir dry. Its all good though now. I wish I had taken pictures of before/after these plant's revival. One plant was so dead that my partner bet me one of his plants that it wouldn't come back. 5 days later and I got myself a new plant!

lesson learned: a plant can be revived long after signs of heat stress and extreme droopy leaves. but does increase my chances for hermies

oh and my god's gift, the last outdoor plant i posted, is doing insanely good. the new tops were about 3 inches tall on my last visit, and yesterday, they were about 6 inches. All was good until I stepped on my bag of soil, in which 500 - 1000 fire ants were underneath. my legs were covered within 6 seconds and they got all over my plants. I dont think they will be a problem but does anyone know if diatomaceous earth will rid them?

Next visit I will for sure have some pics to share  im going on vacation for the 4th, for 5 days, so it might not be until after that.
