    Lucid dreams.

So I decided to make this thread about lucid dreams. mainly becuase they are fuckin awesome.
but anyways I am going to tell you what works for me on having a lucid dream, and hopefully other will chime in and tell us what helps them with lucid dreams.
So to start you want to be able to totally relax your body to the point of it being asleep while keeping your mind awake. I personally like to smoke a real fat bowl, then lay down with a pillow under my head and once I lay down I just concentrate on a certian area of muscles (like toes. feet. lower leg. upper leg. stomach. chest. fingers. hand. lower arm. upper arm. shoulders. neck. then once I get to my face I concentrate on each muscle) once they all feel relaxed your body will feel like it doesnt want to move, and you will think about moving but it wont really happen. at this point you will have lots of somewhat random thoughts running through you mind, just relax and go with the fow, untill you start to focus on one thing. then once you get into this one thing (one single dream) you can make what ever choices you want. I have found that when your high and lucid dreaming you choose to do some weird shit.
like In one dream i was talking to a friend and we finished our conversation, and I just hopped up in the air and floated away.
anyways hopefully that makes sense and helps people start with lucid dreams. they can be very fun, and very trippy if your on a sativa high

my, my, that sounds great! i will try this tonight, minus the fat bowl :P

however, on a side note, i have had lucid dreams in the past, some 11 years ago they stopped very abruptly just after i lost my hearing, so i would very much like to learn to recapture lucid dreams.

I could see that happening. after a serious loss like that your senses will all change, making certian ones stronger and therefore affecting your dreams.
so im sure if you have a lucid dream now it will be way different then your ones in the past. its possible you could hear in your lucid dreams now, but it depends on what you focus on when your in the dream. if you just go with the flow you will most likely just have some weird shit happen, but if you focus/ think about hearing its possible your dreams wont really seem to make much sense but you will hear. (like you will have a convo with some one, or be at a concert)

actually, i didnt try that last night, i got worried and couldnt sleep well, however, more on topic, i can hear in my dreams, and even see color, two things i've heard dont happen with "normal" people. i dotn often dream/remember my dreams, but when i do, there's a lot going on usually. and even still, i hardly remember everything in a linear sense.

:smokin: yeah, that seemed to be like a trademark of my lucid dreams, too. I would suspect i was dreaming, and as a way of testing my theory i would lean forward slightly and if i started floating in the air then i knew it was a dream. :smokin: they are trippy, haven't had one if a while, tho. might have to try your technique.

Man... while flying is an obvious way to tell youre dremaing, for me it costs a lot of energy... like... whenever im lucid dreaming and i try to fly, i must concentrate hard in it, and usually my flights dont last much... soon i lose speed and usually stop of dreaming, or the dream change and im not able of being lucid anymore.
But i have a far less consuming way to tell for sure when im dreaming... i noticed when im dreaming everything that is "solid" is not actually solid. When im dreaming, if i press hard my hand against an wall, with some effort my hand enters the wall, like if it were made of some maleable material... and usually it lefts a hole where it entered.
Also, this is only an way to confirm that im actually dreaming. But the "feeling" one gets when lucid dreaming is different of when awake. For me it feels like if i were able to feel my sleeping physical body, to feel that its immobile, numb and confortable... like if the only physical sensation i got were one of confort and relaxement... and yet im dreaming. Its very hard to describe it. Anyway, its a recognizable thing, and whenever i feel this way i know im dreaming, and if i have any doubt i just stick my hand into some wall to make sure im dreaming.
BTW i dont know if weed helps me with lucid dreaming... when i smoke some indica i usually sleep deeply and cant remember any dreams... and when i smoke some sativa i become restless... if i try to relax, my body (mainly my legs and toes) twitch... yet im sure that smoking helped me to be aware im dreaming, cause for me being high is somewhat similar to be lucid dreaming, so after i learned how to control myself even when stoned out of my mind i also could control my dreams far better.

Ive heard about this too... for example, my mom said she almost never did see colors in her dreams... only once or twice in her life... yet my own dreams are almost always in color... but as i gave up being a "normal" person long ago, maybe what you said is actually true...

I have had a couple lucid dreams, but no dreams where I have achieved 100% lucidity. (The point where you can create or do anything that your mind dictaes to the dream.) Gravity is never totally eliminated in my dreams, but I have done trippy things in dreams such as pull the stars down towards me, and cause a rock to grow eyes a nose and a mouth. The trick is all in being able to notice when you are in a dream. Also, a tip for making a lucid dream last longer and become stronger is to spin around in the dream, or rub your hands together in the dream. Try it next time you are in a lucid dream, I guarantee it will have an effect.

EDIT: In all of my dreams I have the sensation of touch and feeling, see colour and have hearing. My problem is thinking that my dreams are reality. Usually I think all my dreams are real life until I wake up. When you realize you are in a dream, a world of possibilities opens up for you. I love the feeling of realizing you are in a dream.

yeah for sure bro. I think that truelly is the hardest part to reach 100% lucidity, but even in real light lucidity you will have some trippy shit happen lol.
but I am now trying to move on past lucid dreams into astral projections
this is very hard and takes alot more then lucid dreams
