new2this. few 1st grow pix, advice appreciated...
Ok, so I am new to joining this whole grow crew as I FINALLY found some seeds worthwhile. This all sorts happened a convenient way to make use of the energy already being used to power reptile lights and has been progressing slowly - BUT I AM USING THIS AS A LEARNING PROCESS... so cmmts are apprecited, and so is your time if you actually clicked on the post. THX!
At first I had a scare with yellowing of leaves and went out and invested in 6 blubs worth of ballasts and 2 different kinds of plant bulbs. Then replanted into a large rubbermaid container. The yellowing ruined the bottom leaves of one plant but the others are doing ok as of now. I ordered some fish emulsion, cause I had no idea where to but it directly around town, so it is on the way. in the meantime i found a product sold at Target "terracycle" is worm poop fert. so i thought i couldn't be too harmful.

Anyway. I think the biggest is starting to show lil hairs on the top? Also, the stems are starting to turn red in spots, thought maybe it was the strain??? since it had the reddist hairs i have ever seen???
MY dad saw them briefly and said they all looked "pretty feminie" told me to drop the light, and i half did for ventilation, i am using a box fan for a few hours a day and they are on 24.
i am strongly considering led panels for flowering, any opinions?
And I also am thinkin of one of the light proof rubermaid conversions with top lid to conceal light, but am aware of ventilation issues.
I know I messed up with the soil, is it too late to change if i separate these 4 into 2 boxes and 2 plants? i thought deeper soil might be postive. Is that a totally bad Idea? i will be thinking on this, as the worm poop has just brought on great positive results and i am not wanting transplant shock but want more dirt /depth? & light proof - this has been a slow grow, but am excuted to actaully get semi-results. looks like the plants are about to start flowering! (don't jynx myself....)
i am so waiting to have a better clue as to what to do next...
