Quick Fix Temperature Question

Hey everyone

I'm new to the board, I have a simple question:

I think I have everything under control except the temperature thing. Does the heat pack keep it at 90-100 for sure? What if it doesn't read 90-100 before I pour it into the cup?

I'm just worried the temperature would go below 90 by the time I pour it and give it to the nurse

any help/thoughts would be appreciated!

The best thing is to open the heat pad 30 minutes before you leave and after the thirty minutes is up heat the qf in the microwave for 10 secs then put the heat pad on it opposite the side the temp strip is on then put in your crotch area the best spot is behind your testes if your a guy it will stay aroud a 99 to 100 degrees for 5to 6 hours.

This has worked for Me in the past.

They will check temp big-time so if too warm swirl and blow Gently. Each swirl and blow will drop about 1 degree.

If too cool I have rubbed My finger on My pants and made it hot and held it over the temp strip on the container. Do not push on the strip!!! Just cover it with Your warm finger.:

one more question: would using the heating pad alone (no microwave) still get the temp to 99-100 or at least 96-100 on its own?

Yes if you had it crouched for an hour or so. I would get your heat pad warm and then nuke it for 10 seconds and tuck it in your crouch area. Bottle against the skin and heat pad on the other side. Like joker said it will stay at body temperature for 5-6 hours.

would placing the bottle in your sock work too? I tried placing the bottle in the groin area and it doesn't seem too secure...

I taped mine to my inner thigh but its not so comfortable. If you have any hair their whatsoever it can be a little painful. Tighty whitey's are your next best choice, two pair if necessary. This will keep it secure and warmer than putting it in your sock. Tuck it under your boys and ass, but i prefer the inner thigh. An ace bandage would be better than tape if you can find one of them.

everything went good!

about an hour before the test I opened the heat pack shook it and taped it to the bottle and put the bottle in my pocket...about 20 minutes later, the temp was 90. about 40 minutes into it the temp was 98. I tucked that shit by my croch and went in. I gave her the sample at 96 degrees.

all she did was check the box where it says "Was sample between 90-100 degrees?" and she checked yes.

does that pretty much guarantee a pass?

I was SO nervous. But Quick Fix does EXACTLY what it's supposed to. It's almost idiot proof. It even got the temp to 98 while the sample was just in my pocket, which means that even if I had it in my socks, it would've been about the same temp. and the sample I gave was a little over the marker on the cup!

The best thing is to relax and be friendly with everyone there.
