Banana Kush Flowering in homemade Multiflow System

This is a licensed medicinal grow where our allowable numbers are low and very on vegatative and flowering stages.

There are 6 mothers total, 5 BK and 1 unknown strain that was gifted from another patient/caregiver. They had been growin for around 8 months in a space that was roughly 5x5. Just recently have we had the opportunity to set up our new grow room and put in some much need effort to make these ladies flourish.

They were too big when we first moved them in so we took alot of clones and fit a nylon net over the top of the canopy to try the screen of green method (scrog). Now we find ourselves bending and weaving tops everyday because they grow too fuckin fast.
    So here's the run down:
they are now in a 10x10 room,

we built our own multiple hid controller that runs on 240v. we also made it so it has a thermostat and a humidistat wired into plugs for heater/ air conditioner and humidifier. this was quite a project to build but my partner is very handy and it sure beats paying $600-1000 for a brand name enviromental control. (DO NOT try modifying or building anything electrical unless you know EXACTLY what to do!! IT CAN KILL YOU!!!!)

we feed only organic nutrients with benificial microbes and fungi, through a homemade multiflow bucket ebb an flow system.

our exhaust fan (737 cfm) pulls through a large carbon scrubber mounted to the ceiling.

we have many occilating fans because our canopy has grown too close to the lights and runs a risk of getting burned.

with at least 5 weeks to go we just gotta keep bending and weaving!

here are some pictures that span moving in, cloning, training, and overal set up. feel free to ask questions although i may not get to answer them right away.

i thought so myself but also thought it could be tiny yellowing leave tips from the lack of nitrogen. i'll keep watching them to see if they develop more...

Way to stay positive! I hope I'm wrong and they are leaves. I just had one herm on me and I've been kinda bummed picking out little tiny baby seeds.

Now is a good time to check for any light leaks and pH problems though just to be safe. Also max temps and other hermaphrodite-causing problems.

Is that one the "mystery strain" i.e. bagseed? Could be genetic, as I'm thinking my first ever herm is. The mom (of the aforementioned hermie) I grew out was nanner-free except for one tiny little pollen sack that I just now saw. I might be tossing that strain out of the garden soon!

Good eye to everyone who was able to distinguish those dreaded male preflowers!
Too bad though cause that means we're gonna take a HUGE loss...
All the BK except one pheno that has super huge swollen calyxes is intersexed! The one mystery strain (medical clone said to aid brain chemical embalences) is not a hermie although I doubt the yield can compare to that of the BK.
    fuck,fuck,fuck....

any suggestions on whether I should cut them out, accept the loss and have 2 of the flowering mothers fill in seed free. we're about 3 weeks from harvest and I've been told they won't seed for 4 weeks. (5-10 days from first seeing preflowers to release of pollen, 10-21 days for seeds to develope)
any knowledge on the subject would be EXTREMELY appreciated!!!

Maybe that's why they call it "Banana Kush"
    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

How many have ya got hermied and how many total plants?

Personally I would cut them down as those 'nanners are fairly prevalent, it seems. No need risking the rest of the full fems, unless you're okay with some seeds in your bud.

On the other hand, the crosses created when the BKs spooge on your other strains will be feminized and viable (although they have a higher chance of herming too) but the seeds produced by the BKs themselves will be bogus and basically all hermaphrodites. ("selfed") You'll have to let all the strains go a little longer than usual too, so that's decreased efficiency again.

It's really up to you at this point. The cost/benefit ratio is a bit of a tuffy if you're looking to get good, sensi buds now but if you're in it for the long haul and can take this loss with a smile, you'll be set for future grows with beans and the knowledge that things can, and do, go wrong.

Also, if you do decide to let 'em go, invest in some Reverse. I think WH swears by the stuff. (highly respected)

    Long f'in post!
