Banana Kush Flowering in homemade Multiflow System
6 total plants and 4 are confirmed hermies, all under 4000watts. If i take 4 out I'll probably cut it down to 2000watts.
At this point the BK's getting cut out, any spawn produced from this intersexed strain will have no place in my garden...
Also the reverse hormonal spray I think you're talking about is not to be sprayed this late in flowering. Spraying a dom female hermie could just cause it to nanner out more...
Has anyone had experience enough to give a rough timeline of male preflower development to seed development?

so yeah we got herms, but at least they're pretty...
the mystery strain has an undeniable trainwreck stink that these 2 pictures cannot capture...
this one is intersexed but putting on weight...
this is the only nanner kush phenotype without nanners. notice the super swollen calyxes...

Banana Kush Flowering in homemade Multiflow System
3 days ago we did the big chop, with most of the trichomes showing about 50/50 milkey to amber color. they've been dryin in the bloom room as we had some mishaps with our perpetual flow. should be another month before we're back on track. the hermie nugs are somewhat seeded but not to the extent I anticipated.
to address jessejames, hermies are mostly a stress issue if you're working with true genetics but this banana kush strain has a definite banana sprouting pheno. luckly we isolated the one clone from seed that maintains sex and has super large purplish calyxes. our conditions have been well maintained and other strains in the room showed no intersexed characteristics.
we have been having a problem with obtaining strong genetics even through our local dispensary. ideally we'd drop some cash on some feminized seeds and turn them into mothers (if feminized seeds wern't so expensive). its hard to have the set up and the know how but not the gentics to back it up. any suggestions people???
we're remodeling our bloom room for a slightly different multiple stage cycle. we've made the mistakes you only make once (hopefully) and look forward future grows.
stay tuned for some drying and harvest pictures!
an feel free to take a guesstimate on final weight...
anything over 1 1/2 lb we consider a positive, if we get 2lb we'd be stoked. even at 2lbs for 4000watts we're definantly rethinking our setup, with the main idea to up our numbers in bloom.
thanks to everyone who checked us out and kept it positive!

i've seen 2lbs under 600W. I know you obviously are more knowledgable than me when it comes to growing, as your setup looks amazing. But I just think you should be expecting a lot more than 2lbs.
still though, beautiful grow. cant wait to see the harvest pics.

i don't know, maybe it's just me but, as a guy living so far below the poverty line that calling my stuff 'DIY' is a kindness, 'makeshift' would probably be closer to the mark. i don't even have a ph\ec meter.
that being said, my next $100.00+ purchase will be for some good genetics, i was checking Nirvana.com and they have many strains for $40.00 - $50.00 for 10 seeds
i hope to get myself 3 strains and collect pollen from males from each strain, then, down the road, i'd like to try crossing them, either way, i expect to grow those 3 strains for some years into the future so the expense will be an investment, not a cost.
anyway, thanks for posting your progress, your results, details of your set-up, lol, etc..., etc..., etc...
