New to washington state getting worried
Hi Im new to washington state. (only here 7 months). Moved from California and was medical for 6 years. Ive read some of the forums on washington laws and am starting to get a little paranoid. I grow my own, very stealth-like. But see that even one plant is a felony. Coming from the bay area that seems ludacris to me. So with prop 215 you just went to a doctor paid a small fee $250-300 the doctor gave a consult, had you bring in any documentation (perscriptions, etc) And you got your recommendation. Is this possible here or do they make it as hard as possible. And if they do why are people here who support medical cannabis not raising a huge stink, you can change legislation. I watched it work in Cali. Guess im just looking for info, seem to only get answering machines when calling the numbers from sites recommended on this forum. Thanx in advance ya'll.

It is legal to grow here as long as you have your MMJ permit. But we still have some real asshole police chiefs and sheriffs that we have to babysit yet. And also the rules for growing are still really gray here. No set amounts just a 2 months supply which could be anything. JUly the legislature is supposed to be voting on the official MMJ laws so hopefully things will be more spelled out then. Even if the dirty cops confiscate your grow you can get the equipement back by going in front of a judge. The judges seem to be doing a pretty good job of following state law our law enforcement officials are not.

Thanks for info. Will keep my I on the washington boards. You have a beautiful state, like cali, but without ten million people to many. Living to close together. Now just get rid of the april snows (at least in my neck of the woods) and this place would be EDEN!

Here is a good overview of the washington laws.
If you need a doctor, THCF can help.
for patient support, try Spocannabis, or Green Cross.

The new rule isn't any better than the old rule.
C/P
The department has adopted the rule defining a 60-day supply of marijuana for medical use under the state’s medical marijuana law. The rule becomes effective on November 2, 2008.
The rule includes changes made after careful consideration of comments received from the public. The new rule removes the definition of mature and immature plants and simply sets the total number of plants at 15. The 24-ounce total for useable marijuana has not changed. The rule also removes the requirement for a doctor to provide written documentation for a patient to exceed the limit in the rule.
Look at the last sentence. So basically it says ignore the limits set in the new rule if you feel like you need more than that.
