    MH in Flowering

    I'm laying schematics for a grow room. If I can afford it and deal with heat issues properly is it worth having a MH during flowering? A wider spetrum mimics the sun more correctly right?? Has anyone has any experience with this?

    Thanks

    I've found it just as effective to run under mh for the first couple weeks of flower, rather than supplement the hps all the way through.

    Once you get into actual calyx development, ya really get the best bang per watt in the near and mid reds, and the yellows- call it the 570-690 nanometer range.

    Ag bulbs will usually have a nice little spike right around 480-520, which is really all the blue ya need at that point in lifecycle.

    To have mentioned it- a bunch of blue at the end will extend flower time a bit. Not always a bad thing, but generally not desired.

    i'm gonna have to score one of those cmh's and give it a run- the specs don't look very good, but folks seem to like them.

    Would I give y'all a bum steer?...:lol5::rhinoceros:...for $63 ..it's fun to experiment.

    I'm not trying to change anybody's mind...just want them to see the light.

    I have also gotten excellent yields with a MH through the whole cycle. If you want maximum yield then you have to use a HPS. Though I might add I was using only 1000 watt MH bulbs. Try using a MH throughout and if you get a good enough yield then stay with that. If you want to get maximum weight and resin production try using a sodium during flowering.
    The short answer is yes you can use a MH for everything and get good results.
