nute question
Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on here. I have a technical question, well technical to me. So, I'm sure my plants have a potassium deficiency. I'm wondering why, I'm on a program of 750ppm floranova bloom and 250cool bloom. The deficiency appeared when i added the cool bloom which is a 0-10-10. My plants are definetly a little to close to the light and a little hot, which i think contributes to the problem. So i guess my question is, did i cause some kind of lockout by adding the cool bloom, or do my girls really need that much potassium. I'm about 1/2 way through flowering. Thanks in advance.

nute question
Well, since Cool Bloom has a double crapload of K in it, I'ma go with 'lockout' ftw!
Not sure if you've seen the troubleshooting form yet, but you should go take a peek; it's stickied at the top of this section.
In your case, my first assignment to you is:
Test the pH of the water coming out the drain holes of your pot when you give it a heavy watering with plain tap or whatever water you are using. Also, post the pH of your source water (you need both numbers).
Actually you must be in hydro posting up ppms. You gotta give us more clues like that or no one can help. Fill out the form...

I was afraid of that. It was late last night and I was being lazy. Anyways, you are correct, its a hydro setup, resi with a drip system in cubes. Im thinking lockout as well. Im not going to axe the cool bloom all together, but use a lot less of it and more floranova. The only thing that bothers me is that, general hydro says those products are designed to be used together. Ugh. So, its looking 50/50 at this point. Sorry i dont have time to fill out the form. Thanks for your help, it seems like i never have a shortage of questions. If anyone is actually interested i can get into more detail about my setup later.

Well, if you don't know your slab runoff pH, you won't know the cause of your lockout! At the very least, check that.

There looking slightly better. I have a ph problem right now, its down around 5.0 since i changed the water and nutes. Normally the ph always goes up, weird. I have just had absolutely no luck with supplements, every time i add anything to my all in one mix it just messes something up. I added some pictures, what do those spots look like to you. Im thinking no big deal, there going to be done in 2 weeks and there not getting any worse. This is a busy forum, thanks for answering my questions.

Im super impatient so I figured this one out on my own. Even though the ph in my resi was 5.8 before the most recent water change the ph of the cubes was lower. That is also what is causing the ph in my resi to drop. Nute lockout on phosphorus happens below 5.7 or so. Simple enough I guess.
