Yx, yes you can LST a sativa dominant strain, I will be doing it myself next LED grow with SNLxNH. there are a few good threads with easy to follow instructions around...have a search:jointsmile:

Sativas can be real stretchy looking with a lot of space between nodes. Doesn't seem like a lot of them would be amenable to serious training. Does topping and then training sativas a solution?
