The leaves will turn to the light as another poster mentioned.
The 5th node is the earliest that it is okay to pinch the growing tip if you want more side branching. It depends upon your goal for the plant. Do you want a BUSH or a TREE? Bush= pinch now. Tree= no pinch.

They are 2 week old seedlings on their 4th set of leaves with 5th set just now showing. Last night I tied them over and am considering pruning some of the large bottom leaves that are hanging in the dirt. Will pruning this early cause problems? If not, are there any guidelines I should adhere to? I have not topped or fimmed yet but am planning to. Thanks for your responses. ;) Rating: 5
