hey every one its my first grow, i have 3 pure kush 2 sour diesel 1 master kush. leaves not looking so good watering 4 times a day in veg gh nutes mild growth ph was up this morning to 6.8 brought down 5.7 ppm 645 any help please got them on 4/20 not a great start

Please fill out the troubleshooting form at the top of this section and post your answers here, but so far you have given enough info that I can assume you did not pre-stabilize the pH of your hydroton before use, hence the rise. You're going to need to keep on top of that until it stabilizes, checking at LEAST 2x/day and adjusting back to 6. Is that a flood n drain on a res?

yes it is i didnt know about hydroton just washed them off

temp between 77 81 degrees humidity 38 to 41% using 2ft floro 2 bulbs 20watts apiece 4 inches from tops

That's good.
More important are the water adn nute related parts of the form. Therein lies your issue, if there IS one beyond the hydroton thing, which usually takes about a week of normal running to stabilize if you forget to do it before the plants are in.

Biggzhse, you don't have the whole picture yet. Answer the rest of these questions so we can at least rule out other potential causes of that problem:


-Hydro/aero/soilless system type
-Water source
-Water pH
-Age of plant
-Type of fertilizer
-Rate of application (if hydro, PPM of your res; preferably after each component is added)
-Lighting source and distance from plant
-Temperature (both day and night if you are running a dark period)
-% Relative humidity
-Lighting schedule
-Type of ventilation your room has
-Where are your plants getting their Calcium?

my bad im new at this but sure wont give up. hydro eb n flow, tap water use gh hardwater, ph 5.7 (now) clones were cut 4\3 4/7 this month, water 4 times a day 6am 12 noon 6 pm 11pm, temp day 77-81 38 -41% humidity temp night 75-78 degrees 38-39% humidity 16'8 lighting cycle, room is 5ft tall 3ft wide 2ft deep using 188cfm inline exhaust 2ft floro 2 20watt bulbs 4inch from plants

hey all its my first grow running flood and drain feed 4 times day temp 77-81 38-41% rh using 10 gal res gh nutes 2ft floros 2 bulbs 20 watts each 4 inches above tops ph 5.9 (right now been fluxing) ppm 685 lighting 16/8 plants cut 4/3 4/7 picked them up on 4/20 heres my mix gh floro grow 50ml floro micro hardwater 25ml flora bloom 25ml diamond nector 100ml floralicious grow 25ml thats for 10 gal water. maybe to strong

Honestly your new growth looks damn good. The older stuff won't HEAL, but the yellowing should slow down as your pH stabilizes.

Okay, I have a question. Why did you choose the GH hardwater? What is the ppm of you tap water going IN? Where does your tap water come from (city, well, smaller municipal water supply, and if you know the water supply, what type of water body is it)? Basically what I am getting at is that you should know what exactly is making your water 'hard' if you want to use it to grow hydro successfully. Hopefully it is just dissolved limestone (CaCO3), because the plants love that. If you have high sodium levels, though, that could cause problems.
I've grown in hydroton using tap water but ran the Canna Aqua line instead. I like how it buffers nicely in the right range.
Another thing is, is this your first time bringing home clones and putting them in hydroton? The low leaves often look shitty early on. It's the NEW growth that matters, and yours is good. Don't freak out yet; I think you are pretty much out of the woods, just want to make sure you don't run into any other problems.
