Ive used Spectrum off/on as my QF source for several years and I've learned not to interact with the phone reps. Not only are they not reliable, but the service seems to suffer from a high rate of turnover.
The shelf life of the QF is 18-24 months, which begins on the manufacturing date of your particular batch (batch code). Do a search of my posts (by clicking on my username) to learn how to decipher the batch code.

Of course, if you are unsure of your QF freshness, you could always test it at home with an integrity strip. The integ strip checks to see that the pH, SG, and creatinine are within acceptable limits.
