turny..

wow i really respect your post. i think many people feel as you do but are not aware enough or honest enough to admit that the basis of their world view is painted with colors of personal preference (ie- aversion to not retaining individuality of soul after "death").

i think there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. until we do have a complete understanding of our existence every perspective starts with a drop of "faith" per se. if believing what you do helps you and causes no harm to others (like you killing them if they don't agree with you), i say go for it! if nothing else that sense of meaning and purpose with simply better your chances of surviving "natural selection." studies have shown that those with a sense of greater purpose live longer... whether their purpose is truth or not makes no difference to its benefits.

All of us, (human beings, animals, plants), - all living organisms are one with our universe, not just spiritually, but physically as well. Our body is made from the same elements of this planet, clear evidence we are as much connected to this planet as is any tree blowing in the wind. Our consciousness is not of our own, but is rather the universe's attempt to be aware of itself. We are the living consciousness of the very same universe we have trouble explaining.
