Minneapolis is like an unspoken Mecca of underground hip-hop. Home to two great underground hip-hop labels. Rhymesayers (Atmosphere, Dynospectrum, Felt, Brother Ali, Soul Position, Eyedea and Abilities, P.O.S., Musab, and MF DOOM and more) all of those artists are really skilled.... My favs of that label being Atmosphere (of course), Soul Position (Blueprint and RJD2), P.O.S. and MF DOOM (gotta love doom)

P.O.S. is also a co-founder of another great label and rap crew by the name of Doomtree (P.O.S., Cecil Otter, Sims, Mike Mictlan, Paper Tiger, Dessa, Laserbeak, Marshall Larada, and Turbo Nemesis) ... They do work as a collective crew as well as thier own individual solo work.. all of wich is really fuckin solid. I highly reccomend checking out thier False Hopes cd that showcases work by all of the artists.

Def Jux is also a great label. Aesop Rock, Mr. Lif, El-P, Sage Francis, Del all good shit.
