    Germination gone wrong?

I put 4 seeds in between a damp paper towel. Well one of them cracked and a little root came out very small and hard to see. The next day it came out a little further but still hard to see. Then today i checked them and one of the smaller ones had a big root popping out of it and the first one that cracked hadn't grown any. I did touch all the seeds tho. To see if the roots were comming out so I was wandering, Could i have killed the seeds bye touching them or the little roots or do some just take longer to grow out. Its only been 2 days since i started germinating.

    Germination gone wrong?

    the root is vrey sensative
germinating in paper towels is great but when you unfold the paper towel it can damage the seedlings root by sticking to the root.

usually when you see the seed crack they are ready to go in soil

have to be very very gental with seedlings, next time use tweezers to handle the seeds

From all that i have read on here the paper towel method can damage them as Texas stated. I started mine in a plastic cup with water in it. Most of them cracked open in a day or so, as soon as they cracked i planted them, and all have survived so far. So plant the ones that cracked and hopefully they will sprout in a few days. good luck.

you should jus open it up and spray water in there
that you let sit out to room temperature .
messing with them everyday like that makes it
easier to injure them because if the seed srouts stay
in there a few days longer than when the
seed first opens it dont hurt them they
just get alil stronger , most seeds like room temerature
to sprout some alil warmer , id just wrap the bag ina
towel and put it ina drawer lol
