Does the smell of weed contain thc?

Like if someone were to be around some bud, or smell a nug, could they show up positive? It would probably take a lot but since weed doesnt have to be smoked to get in your system i wonder if it could be smelled enough?

if this were true entire subway cars worth of people would bomb drug tests at work =p
