    i used to have some lizzards so i had to get this uv light

    ESU Reptile Slimline Light Fixture with 18 Super UV Lamp - Heating & Lighting - PetSmart

    but i was wondering if this is ok to use to grow with

    Yes...as much as you can provide. (HID, CFL's or Floro tubes) The UV light is really only useful for supplemental lighting.
