If by "fungus crap", you're talking about mycorrizae fungi, that's actually a good thing to have in your soil.

Coco, my question is can you continue to use your Botanicare nutes or whatever, or do you need to use nutes specifically made for the coco? Is it a good idea to cut it with something else? What about in a DWC, like a 5 gallon bucket with a 6 inch net pot how would that work? I have read some about coco seems intresting.

Yes, DO pay attention to the dates that a post is written. You might be reading about a problem that no longer is an issue, or how things USED to be.
For instance, I've noticed that Premier Horticulture seems to have changed ProMix's ingredients: older posts talk about adding vermiculite to a particular product to make it like another mix (to turn ProMix HP into BX), but currently they BOTH contain perlite and vermiculite (even in the same ration). So, I guess this is a recent development.
There may be many factors to explain why a crop or a growing device might have fail. Perhaps the person posting about the problem is blaming the wrong set of circumstances for the failure.
I often try to find concensus among various sources, where more than one person or source is in agreement with others (hopefully the majority). But, then again, someone might be repeating info that they've heard elsewhere without the benefit of any first-hand experience. Who knows?:detective1: Why search 1st?
:google:
Google Search for <word> in a particular website at <url>:
<word> site:<url>
For example, search THIS site for posts about carbon dioxide:
carbon dioxide site:cannabis.com
or, to search for \"nutrients\", but ONLY in cannabis.com/advanced-techniques:
nutrients site:cannabis.com/advanced-techniques
Now, go out and tell everyone you know!

With coco, you should use nutes that are made for coco, or at least give extra calcium in the form of a CalMag Plus supplement. That's a coco 'thing' - Ca deficiencies.
Also, many people find that cutting the coco with perlite significantly helps drainage.
Feeding and watering coco is most easily done with drip-to-waste, but you can hand water IF you can guarantee that the medium will never fully dessicate. Once it is allowed to do that, it is difficult to re-wet, and may start causing problems.
