from what it sounds like you will hook up your exhaust hose to the flange on your aircooled hood. the hood should have vents or if not then take off the glass and pull the air through there.
where are you exhausting too? the attic? or right outside your cabinet?

running a 400 in a small area you will probibly need a quality inline fan
