T-5 HO Set up
Recently i just started my first grow with my clones to arrive in a few days. My set up is all constructed. It is a fully-enclosed chamber and is 6x4 with about 4.5 ft in height. It is completely covered in high-grade mylar on the inside and i am using a T-5 4 ft 4 bulb lighting system with 4 5000k bulbs for veg and 4 3000k bulbs for flowering. I have planned only 2 plants for this room so that (since it is my first grow) i can keep track and carefully monitor the plants so i can learn as well as have an awesome yield. The problem is that i have read on various forums that this isn't enough for two plants which i plan to grow to about 3-4 and some say it is. I know the rule of thumb is about 3000 lumen per square foot but is this assuming i will be using every square foot for plants? The T-5 system is rated for 20000 lumen in all, so basically is this enough given my situation? Thanks.

I have been very happy with my 4 foot 16 bulb T5 grow. Grew 3 plants the first time and ended up with 3 ounces of cured bud per plant. Have 5 plants in there this time. I think your's will do fine. They do tend to get a little warmer than I thought they would so watch temps.

That reminds me I was getting ready to go with a 2 foot 8 lamp T5 setup by new wave.. It would be 16K lumen total, I was wondering if I should go for that and use blue bulbs for veg and red for flowering, or should I go ahead and get some CFL's..
The only problem I have is I am not sure how many CFL's I should have in place of the T5's.. I will be growing 6-10 plants in a cabinet hydro system..

yeah it is in the attic so that is definitely a concern but i have a wind propelled 12 inch fan directly above them in the roof so i get a good constant flow of fresh air with the help of 2 oscillating fans, i have been recording the temps daily in preparation to make sure the range is good and it goes from about lowest of 68 at night to about 85 in the daytime, luckily i live right near the beach so a good wind is never far away : )

tmarshal, I was thinking about performing the same exact setup, but I didn't know if my lighting would be enough (2 t8 highoutput CFLs) in a mylar or similiar setup...
I hope we both get good yields, shit
