I have suffered from mental illness & depression for
many years~~but it wasn't until 'bout 7 or 8 yrs ago til I discovered jus how helpful Marijuana is 2 me~~I find it greatly
reduces stress & depression~~& also weed takes away my
stomach aches & helps me with insomnia~~my life has changed
greatly since I became a medical marijuana patient~~

I am so glad you discovered the healing powers of the cannabis plant, it truely is a gift from God. I use it to control the waves of nausea I surf that go from mild to severe every hour of everyday due to Diabetic Neuropathic Gastro Paresis. MMJ is illegal in the state of Iowa because we still have corrupt, ignorant, lieing and prejudiced politicians in office like Iowa Sen Tom Harkin (D-Ia) says, "If you smoke, marijuana you will find yourself huddled in a corner willing to sell your children for just one more hit of marijuana." :S2:from Sen Tom Harkin's "War On Drugs" form letter he sends out lumping cannabis right in with the extremely addictive and fatal drugs like heroin, cocaine, meth, alcohol and nicotine. Know what? All except for heroin, they are all legally prescribed and used in medical treatments today. The last two also being legal for personal use even thou they are extremely addictive, fatal and spawn a myriad of other fatal diseases, while prohibiting the use of Marijuana which is not addictive, not fatal even if used over a lifetime and spawns no other deseases of any kind. Its best put this way, "Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest theraputically active substance known. For the DEA to continue to stand between those sufferer's and the benefits of the substance would be unreasonable, arbitrary and capricious." Francis L. Now the question is how long will We The People let our government push us around with their lies and propaganda regarding the use of marijuana even in light of the fact that their two main reasons for keeping it illegal have been blown out of the water 1) Marijuana has been proven to have extremely theraputic medical uses for many diseases thus having a "medical value/necessity" that no other drugs can do as efficiently and safely as marijuana, and 2) Marijuana is not physically addictive:rasta:.
