Although, this advice only applies if you have them planted in small containers. If you threw the beans into a big pot it probably isn't a good idea to soak the whole thing.

As for your seed that hasn't sprouted yet, keep the soil fairly moist at all times. Not soaking wet, but not dry either. When it pops out of the soil then let it dry out, then water, then dry out, ect...
