t-5 lighting question
so my seed plants are overgrowing my cabinet so i am forced to finally build my mother/cloning chamber.
i found a 2 bulb t-5 fixture at lowes for 20 bucks but i dont know what type of bulbs to buy, i just need this to clone and keep mother plants alive so i know im goin for the bluer spectrum.
any thoughts or comments will be appreciatedwman44 Reviewed by wman44 on . t-5 lighting question so my seed plants are overgrowing my cabinet so i am forced to finally build my mother/cloning chamber. i found a 2 bulb t-5 fixture at lowes for 20 bucks but i dont know what type of bulbs to buy, i just need this to clone and keep mother plants alive so i know im goin for the bluer spectrum. any thoughts or comments will be appreciated Rating: 5

t-5 lighting question
You don't get a big choice with T5 HO. Typically 3500K and 6500K.
Lucky for you the 6500K is great for mom veg, clone etc.
You can get a few specialty bulbs- Hagen makes gro-glo full spectrum bulb w/ CRI of 98. They cost a bit more but you don't need it, 6500K works fine.Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic

t-5 lighting question
hey wman
prolly need 2 of them expesially at that price! i'd grab 5
you would want 6500k bulbs for veg cycle[mother]
T5 3000k for flower or [use compact flo's 2700k]
If bulbs at lowes are too $$$ goto HTGsupplyguy and get
a 8pk of 6500k T5 for approx 50$
