A little worried about my drug test! Advice please!

Ok so here is my situation. I got an summer internship for this upcoming summer and figured i would get drug tested so i quit smoking. 14 days later i get an overnight letter stating i need to complete a drug test within 72 hours.

Naturally i wait as long as i can and finally take it 16 days after the last time I smoked. I am a pretty skinny guy 6'0" 160 pounds and was just a moderate smoker (3-4 times a week) so everyone said i would pass!

Now today is tuesday, and i spoke with the HR lady who said its really weird that she hasn't received my results as they usually come back in 24-48 hours if they are clean...

I told here that I might be because I have been taking adderall (with a prescription) .. I took the adderall the night before and about 19 hours exactly before the drug test... is it possible that I did come up positive for adderall (which would be a best case scenario) or that i just came up positive for thc??


Additional Note- I took an at home drug test thursday before i took the adderall and passed with flying colors

any advice would be great! Drug test was through Quest

Adderall is a form of amphetamine so that maybe what showed up on the drug screen. They would have sent it off to GC/MS to find out exactly what it was and then the MRO should be giving you a call in a day or so.

Passed! I was positive for adderall and simply provided a prescription number and I was golden! Thank you

Good job. They used to ask up front what prescriptions you took. It made it a little less stressful that way.
