    Quick drug test question

    Hi all -

    I have searched but could not find exactly what I needed. I will be starting work this summer at a major U.S. corporation and have to take a standard urine test. I typically smoke 4-5 times a week with a few other people (never solo). I also happen to have a very quick metabolism as my diet is awful but I do not seem to gain much weight despite zero exercise. For how long should I quit before my test so that I am safe and have no doubts about my ability to pass. I do not want to leave it to a last minute detox drink but rather have peace of mind as I am going through a stressful period in my life. Some of my friends have told me four weeks is more than enough but I am a bit skeptical and nervous as my whole career is basically on the line. Also, from what I have heard about financial services companies - they will typically always test you a week before your stard date. Is this written in stone or can it vary? In a nutshell I am trying to make my last month in college as enjoyable as possible and I appreciate any advice you can offer.

    Typical marijuana detection times are 3-30 days depending on height, weight, and smoking habits. We've seen people go as high as 100 days, so its hard to say unless you test yourself. Your probably going to need at least 30 days to get clean. If you don't want to stop smoking you can use Quick Fix, a synthetic urine that is 100% effective if you get the temperature right. Most pre-employment drug screens will not watch so subbing would be your best bet. If you decide you want to quit then read the Dilution sticky at the top of the forum. With the proper diet and exercise you can get clean naturally if you have the time. Most don't have the will power to abstain so thats why we all recommend QF. There is some great info here so i suggest you start reading up. :thumbsup:

    Thanks for the information. From what I also read here the detox drinks are a waste of money correct? Also, the dilution thread, that info is primarily for days just before the actual test correct? Doing the things mentioned a month beforehand would not really have an effect?

    Yes you are correct... detox drinks will not help you and are a waste of money. The dilution method is mainly for the morning of the test, but you will need to start creatine loading at least 3 days before the test. The dilution sticky has all this information and even a link on creatine loading. If you decide your going to abstain and use the dilution method, then i would start exercising and buy some metamucil. Cardio will help to raise your metabolism and metamucil will help to rid you of thc metabolites through your colon. Keep yourself hydrated but don't overdo it on the water.

    Yes, I've decided to abstrain for now and until I settle into the "real world."

    As far as exercising goes, can you give some examples of what I should do besides running, as I do not have access to the school gym when it is opened because of my schedule. Also, I read in a few articles that running actually burns carbs instead of fat and that walking is a better choice. Any truth to this?

    As far as hydration goes, what is a normal amount of water oz I should drink each day?

    And finally, for Metamucil, what form of intake do you suggest?

    Sorry for all these questions and I truly appreciate your help.

    I prefer running to walking i think you burn more fat this way. Think about it, your pushing your body harder so your going to see better results. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. There is no set amount of water you should drink, just keep up your fluid intake while you sweat. If you don't have access to a gym then some good old fashioned push ups and sit ups will do great. As for the metamucil, I take the powdered kind because there are more servings per container and its cheaper. Some people like the pill form but its strictly up to you.
