do joints work after the first few tokes?

the lit end of a joint burns at a minimum 400c it is 10mm wide and 10mm deep.
thc vaporises at 200c.
i take the first deep breath on a new joint,the thc in the first 30mm of the joint vaporises(because the tip burns at 400 while thc vaps at 200) and i inhale,then i pass the dutchie to my friend.
he inhales and smells+tastes the marijuana which i also smell+taste.
the thc hits me but does it hit him as much?.i say no because if thc vaporises at 200 surely the first toke is the strongest(taste and potentancy )
SO does a joint work at 50% strength after the first toke?or have i just been smoking to much;-)

You have been smoking too much, that's for sure. however, i vaporize for the exact reason you've stated. It tastes better and gives me a better high.

the less hits that have been taken from weed smoking the more potent the hit was. Now with joints your sucking the smoke throught the rest of the joint. This coats all the weed in a layer of resin, the resin contains thc and other smokable products that may not be healthy. So as you smoke more from a joint, there is more resin building up on the weed behind the lit section. As you smoke this you get a harsher hit, but with a considerable amount of THC on it as well. the 400 degree temperature you state is only partially right because from the moment the smoke leaves the combustion site it starts cooling, i dont think we all inhale 400 degree smoke into our lungs, that would be painful. So you get higher with the greens hits, but still get high from the resiny hits as well.

I vaporize with fire, actually. I hold my glass bowl sideways, stuff some grinded up bud in there, and hold a flame about an inch under the bowl. After about 10 seconds the bud starts to release vapors, and once you get the hang of it you can keep it just at the right temperature so the buds turn brown, but never actually burn.

The taste is so much better then burning the weed, in my opinion. It is like the difference between eating or smelling a nicely cooked steak and eating/smelling a piece of old charcoal.

Plus I can hold in the hits for 30 seconds a pop without fear of diseasing my lungs. :thumbsup:

that is why pipe and bongs and bubblers and vaporizors are FTW.
also that is why if you smoke like 3/4 of your joint then decide your done, and then smoke the last 1/4 later, you dont get near as much thc

you're thinking about it wayyyy too much, just smoke it

to add, wouldn't it make more sense if the joint would be more potent once its almost finished, cause of all the previous smoke with thc in it passing through it?
