how do you get a monster size plant

i was wondering how to get a MONSTER!!!! size plant

do you grow the seed in your house for a few weeks on 24/0, and then when the plant is about 6" or so plant it outside in a spot where it gets a lot of sunlight, is that all you do or is there more to it???
