Burnt tips? Survival...
You'll want to mix perlite into the soil itself next time you transplant.
Since hops are propagated primarily as rootstock cuttings, you never have to worry about scorching seedlings with too much fertilizer. The soil you have may be just fine for a more mature plant, but seedlings are very sensitive to fertilizer, even if it's organic.
Punch extra holes in the pot for now, and only water when the pot feels relatively light.
Just a Q, has your brother seen any of whatever hop blight is killing hops crops all over the world? I'm hoping to put up a decent sized hopyard soon- price has risen to $22 USD per pound, up from about $5 last year. I was thinking I might scrape out a couple crops before the blight finds my yard.
Nothing like a nice bong rip of hops before bed. Seriously.stinkyattic Reviewed by stinkyattic on . Burnt tips? Survival... Ok, im pretty sure this is a burn mark or death due to heat as I have no ventilation atm in my grow cab.. :( BUT I want to know if I do get circulation within the next day or so, will the plant survive?
