the high wont change, but if you put the green in between two thin layers of tobacco it'll burn much better and you wont get as much sideburning.
you know what would be reeeally good right now? - a joint!

Wrong.
When packing a bowl, you want to break the weed up as good as possible to promote complete, and uniform, burning. The closer to granualization, the better. I like to use a grinder as that breaks up herb excellently, without loosing a bunch of crystals to skin contact (they stick to your fingers then you cant smoke 'em!!). Plus its a hell of a lot quicker.
Of course, grinders are nothing other than a luxury. Just break your herb up good (any nuggage will smoke less than ideally). A lot of people don't break up a bowlpack as good as a J, but then your bowl burn quality suffers...

And pakc it down just firm enough so it takes a cherry, too firm and you'll get a clogged pipe in short order

yeah grinders are the way to go.
My rule: supplier chooses packer, chooses who gets first hit, and wait. well actually my rule is basically that whoever supplies is like the king. He gets to choose music and shit. especially if its his/her house.
I hate it when people come up to me asking i they can pack. But I always give the same answer: "no"

is most of the people here american/canadian? im from england so when you say bowl dyu mean a pipe or an actual spliff im confused.
it seems like you and your friends dont like each other very much...shouldnt the supplier just be the one who skins up?

I'm with you. I never use a screen, so I don't want to break it up.
