Asking about DOT test and home test

Hey all it's me again, I don't know if I posted this, but I had failed my DOT test because I couldn't use the sub method. (they tested use in the afternoon so by that time the sub was useless since I used real pee) Anyhow I got another chance at another place. Since I haven't smoked in a while, I was wondering now if I get a home test kit and pass it can I pass a DOT test as well?

Why was it useless? Do you have it unrefrigerated longer than 8 hours? We say it starts to go bad after about 8 hours, not that it is bad at 8 hours. It can take a little standing around at room temperature you just want to use that sample usually that day. The collectors don't always stick it in the frig, they sometimes keep it sitting in a pile with other samples until they get sent out, which is usually at the end of the day. You want all this time that you have it out and they have it out to be under a few days like 5 days. Like a worst case scenario would be giving a sample late on a Friday and it not going out till the next week and there was a holiday on Monday and you had it out all day Thursday. Other than something like this (it would probably still be ok), one day on the sample should be fine.

DOT uses 50 ng/ml on immunoassay and instant tests usually are 50 ng/ml and use immunoassay technology. If you pass using the first void of the day, you are fine like 99% of the time.

It didn't work because I had no choice but to use my own piss since I dumped my sample. Someone said that I could use their piss but before I could get it I was tested..so I fucked myself over in that one. I going to be tested 3 weeks from now. I had stopped smoking on the 19 of feb. but smoked 2 small loose bowls, one on the 24 of march and one a week before. So I think I'm clean, I've been drinking water and riding my bike. I'm going to by a home kit and test myself the day before and see. so yah say I should be good if I pass the home..cool
