Hydroton is really foolproof if you remember to soak it and set the pH to 6.0 before putting in the plants. Ebb n flow is also quite easy. You want the flattest res you can get to keep your table height low. The Botanicare reservoirs are flat for their height, and designed to take the weight of the actual tray.

The roof of my area is slanted so i can train my plants to lean as they get bigger so i what something that can give the plant roots a firm hold as they are leaning.
