I've done a couple of grows in the past, one with cfl's which produced some nice smoke but not very much, and a couple of hps grows, one went pretty well but the other suffered because of high summer temps. Right so onto my current grow............ About 5-7 days ago I germinated 5 white widow seeds using the paper towel method, I know some people don't like this method but it's always worked well for me. I fold a piece of kitchen paper in half Rating: 5

Sweet goodness! That WW turned out RIGHTEOUS, my friend! Those buds are incredible! Sorry for all the jumpin' around with hootin' and hollerin', but I am thoroughly impressed. I'm glad to see your roots looking to be in such good shape following your scares with the reservoir temps. It doesn't look like she suffered any ill effects whatsoever!

Cheers JK, i'm really happy with the WW grow, out of the 5 females I've flowered there was only one that i was disappointed with, i overwatered it badly and it suffered root rot, (hopefully i've learnt my lesson and that won't happen again) tried to get her back to good health but i had to chop it a couple of weeks early. The other 4 yeilded 1 and 3/4 oz, 1 and 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz (that was the little clone sog experiment) and this one should weigh in around 3 oz. I can get the scrogged DWC and 2 soil plants in my tent so I'm able to get 6 oz every 8 weeks outta my 2ft x2ft space under a 250 hps, that'll do nicely............... for now

I've got a G13xSkunk in flower now, (in there for about 4 weeks) i cracked 3 seeds but only got the one female and she's gotten very tall, looks very sativa dom which i find surprising, i thought g13 and skunk were both mainly indica??? Anyway i've took a cutting from her and cracked a couple more seeds. I'm gonna get a WW clone in flower along with the G13 (both in soil) then i think i'm gonna pop one of the seeds in DWC and pray it's a girl so i can scrog it I'm gonna treat this as another practice/mum finding grow, then when the weather gets cooler and i've got some nice clones i'm gonna see how close to 8 oz i can get! :rastasmoke:

I had been looking for a grow to read from beginning to end, this was an incredible inspiration, Hudson. I hope in a few years when I'm in the right situation, I can have as successful a grow as you.

This definitely should be a scratch and sniff log!! Interesting and informative!

Really appreciate all the pictures of the roots, and plant after cutting. That plant looked like it was restarting another grow. Do people do that? Or do you figure it is spent?

8 oz. !! Will be awaiting.

Tried the scratch and all i could smell was the lighter! lol!

You convinced me, hydro is not for me. If I had to lift a heavy drip pan of water,(not to mention the tight space to work in) I couldn't grow enough to get the back spasm's to stop!!! Will con't reading, maybe one day. . .! Thanks again! PR :thumbsup:

Good to know you enjoyed the log vej, thank you and i'm sure when you start growing you'll be more than happy with your results. You've already got a head start on me finding cann.com and doing your research before you start, i jumped in knowing very little and had mixed results, finally i'm starting to feel a little more comfortable with growing and it's getting more and more enjoyable the more i learn.

Hey pain, thanks for the kind words Hope I got the balance of information right, tried to put in as much of what i was thinking and what was worrying me about the grow without it becoming too long and confusing.:rastasmoke:

As for it restarting another grow, it's already in the bin but thats something i should of tried I had a go with one recently but screwed it up, think i hacked it down too much. I believe it's Rusty Trich who has a thread on revegging that i read a couple of months ago. well worth a read

Interesting point about the space and weight problems of the dwc scrog, it was a struggle at times, i generally had about 15l or 3 gallons of water in it so it's pretty heavy awkward with a cumbersome scrog to manovre too. When the flower room was full i'd have to move the other plants out first, then squeeze the scrog out carefully and take it to the bathroom to have a res change, there were a couple of times when i nearly snapped the plant at the base lol thankfully i got away with it. Having said that i reckon i don't really need to take it out of the flower room, my dwc bucket has an emptying tube on it, so if i can drain it in the tent. (Which is what i started doing after the near death experience ) Until then i liked taking it out to inspect it properly, look at the roots take pics etc. I guess it comes down to your setup and how easy or difficult it is to get water to your grow room. LOL thats funny about the back spasms, well not really but i think you know what i mean.

You must be scratchin in the wrong place if you can smell a lighter, you wanna borrow my specs :rastasmoke:

Hey JG, thanks for stopping by and the comments on the buds I've worked out how to grow sticky stinky buds, now i gotta see if i can get them to grow into HUUUGE MONSTERS like you!

I got the seeds from my local hydro store, the seedbanks "high quality seeds" not sure if they're stocked in the US or just over here in europe. I've been happy with them, 3/5 females, got two different pheno's both stayed managable and produced nice bud, the lower yielder was very strong, smelled and tasted just like WW should, the other yielded around 40% more but was moderate in strength and has a citrus smell and taste. :rastasmoke:
