    First Grow - CFL

Ok I still haven't been able to get my hands on money or fans for ventilation and I've paid the consequences. Once of my plants is dying (dead leaves )

The others are doing ok! :rastasmoke:

    > watering every 2 days, reducing the amount of light on inside to keep heat down.

Soon I will be upgrading to two 120mm computer fans run by a PSU separated from a computer.

    Pictures below! :hippy:

    Improved chamber (without ventilation)

Update of the 3 plants week 2.

    Left plant doing good.

Middle plant, doing the best (slight burnt tips) :rasta:

Right plant. Dying too hot in chamber for too long.

    Comments & Support welcome!

    Cheers

You might want to rethink your bulbs. I believe the true daylight is best for veg and soft white for flower and you are right in the middle which I believe is the worst of the three options. Not sure, but that may be leading to some of your stretch issues if the plants are seeking the right light spectrum. I am a noob so take that with a grain of salt.

I like you cabinet, very kewl.

    Good luck!!

    Apparently not :S
I'm using 6500K bulbs and they are *best* for veg, I'm going to be buying some lower spectrum lights later on though. My bulbs are good for veg stage.

Thanks for the comments, I like to see what people comment and support! CHEERS! :rastasmoke:

What would be cheaper? I would think the cat litter would be :hippy:
And since it works the same I'd probably just go for that. Unless the Carbon lasts longer.. I've heard that people have gone through many grows on the same carbon scrubber.

The plants seem to be picking up now, new growth it going great! :rastasmoke:

    Cheers

I just made one from bodoms plans but mine is 2 feet long. its a 8" to 6" in size and i used one whole bag of the kitty littler for it. 10 bucks for the bag you cant go wrong, hopefully it will work just as good.

Looks to me like a bit of overwatering. Let the soil dry-out a bit between waterings. Letting roots sit in wet soil will cause damage.

Also, keep an eye on your milk jug plant. The light coming thru the plastic will kill exposed roots, and will likely cause algae in the soil. (especially with consistently wet soil)

Would that be aluminum foil? It can cause hot spots and really insulate the heat. Try using some white paint, or finding mylar or an emergency blanket!

It is infact, I dont know what mylar is in AUS :S I cant find it anywhere :S Is there a name for it or is mylar the name? Like not the brand name..

And will any white paint work?
Also, does light from outside the chamber (natural or artificial but not CFL) kill the plant or just exposed roots?

I think with all that has happened, I may have stressed them male

Time will tell, at least I will learn! Thankz :hippy:
