I tried a cap full of liquid GHB around 3 mos. ago and I liked it. Directions were as follows:

No more than 1 cap full every ONE and a half hours
Do NOT drink with alcohol
Do Chase with orange juice

^^Cuz the stuff is very, ummm, tart/sour.

So we sat in the back of The Pub watching football and drank OJ. Effects took hold around 45 mins after comsumption. Felt like having a couple highballs. We popped another half cap about 45 mins later and watched more football. I could feel it coming on, and it felt like we had more drinks. The stuff really hit me when I left the back of the bar to go piss. Open the curtain, busy as hell. Feel a little heavy, but totally coherent. I would compare the 'impairment' to alcohol without the gut rot from drinking a lot. I got up the next day feeling perfect.
