    Inteli 3.5 Light mover

Hi, Im using an inteli 3.5 light mover in my 6ft x 4ft grow area. I do have 3 bulbs, all HPS (2x600)+(1x400). Now, i did have the two 600's on the rail but to be honest it didnt seem worth it as they would only move a few inches and back again, i didnt wanna leave them at either end 'static' neither so what i have done is leave 1x600w on the rail to move back and forth, I have a 400w lowbay which stands vertically at one end and the remaining 600w i have is hanging from the side, this seems to work ok, ideally i would like to come out of the attic entirely as its very small in terms of height and moving about is tricky.
Question is, am i making the best use of the light available? I will post a picture tomorrow when the lights are on, so please can u check back then with your idea's and opinions.
I was thinking of a XL budtent, that way i guess i could get the most from my light rail.
By the way, are light rails worth it, I understand yields per sq ft are generally the same (if u used a 1000w on a light rail the yield per sq ft would be the same as a static 1000w, however since your light mover enables the bulb to cover more area u would have a slight increase in yield 'overall' )?
Now if i brought a 2m X 2m X 1.2m bud tent could i do away with the 400w and expect to yield the same as my grow currently, (shall be using the same plants).
I guess i need the pictures up asap, will do... Please check back

Since no up stepped up to help you I'll try, since I have 2- 3.5s.

Sounds to me like you are using the "add-a-lite" option, that has a un-powered wheel cart for the second light and a 3' bar between the motor cart and trolley cart. In a 6' long room, minus your hoods, you'd get about 1' or less max travel!

You want to mount your 2-600hps side by side, preferably about 1' apart. Intelli makes a mounting bar for this purpose, but you don't even need that. You can use any metal to create three brackets to bolt between them. Then just use chain on each end to connect to the powered trolley like you would one light. This should give you at least 4' of travel.

BTW: Consider mounting a fan facing down between the lights. This will move the upper part of the plants around and allow for better light penetration.

Hope thois helps ya....best of luck.
Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic
