I've got an electronic project I've been workin on for the past year... under the pseudonym A Boy Named Ghost, and I've also got a Doom/Noise-Rock project that's still kinda in the developmental stages under the name Rape Whistle that I've been jamming on the bass for. (yeah i know... the name is supposed to signify something loud noisy and slightly disturbing, like the music. I may change it.) For now there's just one song posted and a half-asked doom/sludge improv. But if ya want chek it anyway.

A Boy Named Ghost: (I'm working in the studio at my school polishing up these tracks, I will be posting final mixes on this page soon as well as some new tracks) MySpace.com - A Boy Named Ghost (Jake’s Tracks) - MINNEAPOLIS, US - Electronica / Experimental / IDM - www.myspace.com/jake39stracks

    Rape Whistle: MySpace.com - RAPE WHISTLE - MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota - Experimental / Other / Metal - www.myspace.com/rapewhistleband

I use to write classical music when I was 12-15.Then I got into Deejaying-house,trance,dance,and break-beats.I used Cakewalk Studio and Fruity loops for my Deejaying.Classical is used in virtualy every form of music.Studying classical music and begin in band helped me note how music was created.I love music but due to a recent finacal trouble I can't rebuild my music dream back up .

I played lead and rhythm guitar in a metal band for about six years, and had a lot of really good times playing out with them. Sadly, our drummer fell off the face of the earth by impregnating his wife three times in nearly three years, and after that, things fell apart.

I still jam, only now it's to random backing tracks that I pull off the internet. Besides guitar, I play keyboard/piano, drums, and a little bass. I don't sing, though... I've tried and failed miserably. I've still got about $5000 worth of studio equipment (mixers, PA system, all sorts of rack-mounted hardware, etc.) collecting dust in my basement. My wife says I also have too many guitars. Including acoustics I own more than 20, but as a collector I believe it's not possible to own too many guitars. I don't know what in the hell she's talking about.

I would actually prefer to have both, the feeling of playing drums while being high is even better  imo...

I'm glad my story inspired someone!

Be warned, I've become so bitter with my old drummer that if you ever do decide to quit playing music (because of an inability to STOP having kids), I will find you, and inflict severe bodily harm on you with a mig welder, some tourniquets, a badger, and a spoon. You've been warned!

    Keep the music alive! :chainsaw:

Haha, this is very true... for new ones. Mine is a temperamental, emotional ticking time-bomb. I've got an AkaiMPC3, that I bought from a DJ who beat the living shit out of it. So, it did come cheap, but there's plenty of reason for that. Worked well when I bought it, only the tap pads didn't always work right. After I tore everything down to the frame, gave it a good cleaning, and put it back together again it worked just fine. I was really getting into the sequencing and playing around with all the little features, but now my signal outs aren't working at all. Even the RCAs. Ugh... I hate modern machinery.

That's one of the good things about human drummers, they break less frequently. Their signal processors may be a little scrambled at times (), but they sure as hell are durable!
