Zim to face the firing squad Saturday?

Tomorrow, Saturday is my states caucus and I am running as a Mitwit delegate. Should I win, Ill be in St. Paul MN come this September! In almost every district here Paul supporters have filled the 3 delegate and 3 Alt. delegate spots. We expect a low turnout as no one really knows this is going on and rain is in the forecast. Yay for a liberal state full of Independents and Democrats! :thumbsup:

Anyways, even if it doesn't go past the first ballot at the RNC and McCain does get the nomination, we as delegates get to vote on other important GOP issues that will effect the GOPs future platform. :thumbsup:

uhhh.....not to be the bearer of bad news but he is going to lose....not just lose but really really lose. Great guy and all but its kind of futile at this point. McCain will more than likely win the nomination for republicans.

I understand he may lose in the first round of voting. Its not just about Paul now as it is trying to voice our opinions were it counts. If we are all democratically elected to be a delegate, then we will have major say in the party direction. Paul can not be on the first voting ballot anyways, you need to win the majority in atleast 5 states and/or territories. Unless he can pull out 5 wins in whatever states are left...

If people who say they are for marijuana legalization actually worked as hard as Paul's grass-root supporters, we'd have it legalized by now.

At this point it's all about principal. Paul himself knows he won't win, but staying in the race allows him to keep pushing his message. Although, it certainly isn't like it was a few months ago. I've already taken off my Ron Paul sticker and thinking about replacing it with a Clinton sticker....and one of those Calvin Pissing stickers above it

Well I came in 3rd for Romney, just 4 votes shy of going. 1 delegate and 2 alts. were selected in my district. Michael Nystrom has won as an Alt. delegate to the convention. If you don't know who he is, he's the owner of the blog DailyPaul.

The caucus format was kind of a joke. To get in you just had to write down your name and address to get handed two paper ballots. No one ever check the names against the registered republican list for my district. Anyone could have made up some fake info and would have been handed these ballots. No one would have known who the "fakes" voted for after the votes were counted.

I did make some nice political connections within my districts GOP and have been asked to join them as they had a vacancy in my ward. I'm gonna attend the next meeting and should be voted in without any problems or opposition.
