Stealth Cabinet Solution
Hi everyone, thank you for reading!
I am new to growing outside of some botched experiences, but I have 20 years of smoking expertise. The Props have spoken and it is time to grow! Now, I have done a LOT of research and a stealth growing environment is key for my situation. Both BCnorthernlights.com and Sunlightsolutions.com offer all-in-one solutions that are attractive and also costly. I really canā??t afford either of their signature products, The BloomBox or Cool Cab (or the Mini Cool Cab, that caught my eye) so I am going to build my own. If you CAN afford an all-in-one solution, maybe you are not a handy person, I would not let the negative postings scare you. Iā??m sure product failure does exists but posting on a forum is free and I'm sure an effective way to slam the competition. For $2,500 I can't imagine you are without customer support and with a shabby product as the norm (my two cents). So the plan here is to emulate what works and does not work in the existing all-in-one solutions. OK maybe I need to do the research but I'm hoping if I pose the question there will be an answer.
Biggest Issues: Cabinet Size
Most plastic storage cabinets, with a lock, are either 36ā? tall or are several feet taller and look like an outside storage shed. In my opinion, the Mini Cool Cab is not tall enough at 42", I would prefer another 6 to 12". I would also like a lighter weight unit that is plastic versus metal, again I move a lot.
Thanks again for reading! I need your help yo!:jointsmile:justgrowit Reviewed by justgrowit on . Stealth Cabinet Solution Hi everyone, thank you for reading! I have taken a glance at some of those products and I think they are way overprcied. Sounds like a good chance for you to combine creativity with DIY skills. Plastic is hard to work with, what about using thin sheets of wood like chipboard?
Search for SCROG information in google, do your homework and sketch out possible designs so you can figure out what materials you will need to buy. I can't imagine that the whole project including electrics and lighting would cost more than $250.

Most of those turnkey setups are horrid. I've seen 600 watt HIDs in a converted rubbermaid shed in non- air cooled hoods with a small pc fan for circ. LMAO YEAH RIGHT! Also, they tend to make these cabs seem stealth to the point you could leave it out in your parent's house. They fail to mention the 265 cfm squirrel cage with 3 ft long carbon filter hanging out the back, and the fact that it looks like the sun is in there peeking out all sorts of holes. Not to mention that most people don't keep garden tool sheds in their bedrooms. lastly you can buy the parts to make these for 1/2 the price, (or less!) and if you are that bad that you can't use online help to figure out how to set it up, then seriously maybe growing is not for you. It's not like you toss in some seeds and 3 months later there is a high times calibur plant in there! As far as not being mechanicially inclined, you do need to fine tune these things, and put them together, they do not come assembled. They are not lightproof and usually need different or additional cooling. The hydro setups they include are worse! They don't make their money off of paying attention to detail, that's for sure!! Just my opionion!
