    flowering/cloning need help

Flowering time varies from strain to strain. Indica heavy strains can finish in as short as 7 weeks. Sativa heavy strains can take 14 weeks or more.

Most people have found that they have better success cloning before flowering, since the clones root easier. But you can clone any time, really, but I'd probably wait at least until your plants have sexed. No point in cloning the males, ya know?

you can take a clipping from the plant, root it and flower it to predetermine sex. i would not clone during flower.

Moving the plant to 12/12 to determine sex and then back to 18/6 to reveg will add weeks to the entire cycle.

Flower time varies from strain to strain, count on a minimum of 6 weeks, get a magnifier to check the trichomes.

I find cloning about 7-10 days into flowering works best for me. I've had problems rooting very small cuttings but if I let them stretch for a few days after switching to 12/12 they seem a lot stronger and I have a better success rate. If I go much longer than 10 days after flowering I find that it's too much stress as they've gone too far into flowering and I more clones too. JMO
