    Foot long water leaves?

My veggies are on week 3 and about 10" tall. They have water leaves that are over a foot long (from the stem). I have never seen this before. What does this mean?

    Water leaves?

    You mean fan leaves?

When they grow so far out from the main stem then it's usually a sign of being rootbound.

    What's your hydro setup?

    Foot long water leaves?

How long have they been in that system?

Can you fill out the troubleshooting form found

Also if you have any pictures of the issue, and if you can pull one of the pots and get a picture of the root system that would probably help greatly.

I had a few of mine grow out 8" and absolutely hated it. Once I transplanted them and they grew some more fan leaves that were closer to the stem I chopped those suckers off.

grapefruit, which I've had for about 18 months. Just recently switched to aqua flakes.

    Foot long water leaves?

I had 30 plants under a 250w for 4 weeks (ended 2 weeks into flowering) so I had to keep the pots small to keep them close together. They ended up growing slow vertically, but very dense, and quite a few leaves that would stick strait out for a good 10" or so. I noticed that I didn't have any long horizontal shoots with water leaves on the 6 plants I put in larger pots. A week after I clipped all the long horizontal leaves off and started using a 1000w, they looked so much better.
