FINALLY, got my ass out of the car and back on the bike; 45 degrees and partly cloudy....just put on 60 miles for a "warm-up".

Bleh, I wish I would've rode a bike like all the other normal kids growing up, maybe it's a habit that would've stuck.

Instead I run (stupid boxing and track). I started running when I was about 11 and then it just kept going on and on from there. Especially when I boxed, all you do is run it seems.

Temps have been warm enough here for the past month or so to go running again.

Can't wait for some 10k's and marathons to come up. I average a little over 6 minute miles in marathons and about 5 minutes a mile if I'm running 5 miles or less.

I used to be able to run a single mile in 4:15.

Oh I miss being young and abusing the crap out of my body. Going to be 30 in a couple of years and I'm not sure if my body can handle running, tricking/parkour or sparring.

On the otherhand I have noticed my capacity for learning increase as I got older. Honestly I partially attribute this to smoking. I started self medicating in the last year or so and I've noticed I can focus my attention on what I'm studying alot easier (so long as I don't go over board with the smoke)..

My god I'm rambling and don't even know why. Morning smoke must still be lingering in me.

Had mine out a few times this year, but not for a sixty mile ride yet. Still a little chilly here in MO, but i cant what to get back into the groove. One of the best stress relievers ive found so far.:jointsmile:

You know I've never rode a bike. I like speed and I think I would probably seriously hurt myself.

Between wanting to feel a little thrill and the Houston drivers (mostly the houston drivers part) I'd probably get killed or seriously hurt myself.

I've been to Mass., scared of those drivers too. Everyone turns left on red it seemed (been years since I've been up that way.)

As far as me, I'll probably be doing some auto crossing. In my car, lol.

I built a 1962 VW Bug with a Mazda Rotary 13B engine in place of the Type I motor that came in the car originally. All new suspension and early porsche transmission.

The results.. a 250hp mid engine RWD beast in a 1500lb car. Should be alot of fun. I built this because I didn't want to race my Audi.

Notice a trend here.. I'm a german car whore it seems.

Daihashi- We call that 'banging a left'- The first person in line in the left turn lane basically waits until the OTHER light turns red, and floors it across the intersection BEFORE the light turns green. MA drivers live up to our 'masshole' label, but you get used to it. The trick is to be equally assertive. Oh yeah- and drive something snappy. I'm a European import lover too, on VW #2 and dreaming of a VR6 Corrado or a Volvo p1800... DROOL on the sole Swedish appearance of tailfins that I am aware of. That was a bad ass little roadster.
Yup, a baby Ninja. Just right for a 5'2 chick! That thing flies, and the narrow back tire is great in the rain. Pic!
