another PH question

I have a PH test pen that goes in the run-off.

Maybe ph test strips would give a different reading?

I use a ph soil test pen. Not the most actuate method...but if I mix a little sweet pickle juice and water...and pour it in the soil...the pen reads a lower ph....very soon.

Again...this is not the best method...but it works for me.
