wait i wouldn't chop it just yet, that is a male part on her for sure, and must be removed. the male part that is. now some plants will "hermie" well into bloom, thats relatively normal. but by the looks of the bud, its vastly female, is that the only nanner she has? if so then just pluck it off. its also possible that some sort of stress is causing this.

I wouldn't chop it if I were you. Yes, your female has thrown up a set of 'nanners', but you can simply pick them off if you're wanting to continue the grow with her in the room. Worst case scenario, it self-pollinates... or possibly pollinates another female. But unless it becomes a full-blown hermaphrodite, it's still very salvageable and worth keeping with the crop, IMO. The choice is ultimately yours, but know that slightly seeded hermaphroditic females smoke just as well as sinsemilla.

Are there any light leaks inside the growroom? Best way to tell is to go inside the growroom and momentarily turn out all the lights. If you can see any light getting into the room, fix them. Even the slightest amount of light can cause plants to hermie.

Hey I am going to bump this, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!

Those are not what I think are called nanners. I am a fucking retard though, so I don't know. Hopefully someone else will chime in here.

You have the exact same thing going on that I do. You are fucked, just like me.

2 soil um....4 weeks since I switched them to 12/12, I am just going to say they are 4 weeks in but that is kinda a whole nuther wierd thing. Stinky probably knows what I am referring to. Anyway.
2 DWC clones, 4 weeks in as well.
Guess what, the DWCs are fucking pregnant, and I have the exact same "talon" things that are split open.
The reason I say they aren't "nanners" is that upon very close inspection, I found "nanners" too. I think that you will find some, but from what I have read, there are probably some that you just won't see. If you have (and I am assuming that you do from your description of her) a bomb ass fat nuggylishsih beauty queen, I think that nanners may possibly evade detection.

At this point I have chalked this one up to learning and accepted defeat. I am so pissed, as I am sure you will be too.

Now hopefully someone will come on here and tell me I am an idiot and that everything is salvageable, but I am not holding my bong hit.

I don't know if it would be effective or to what degree it would be effective to do, but you could try using Reverse by Dutch Master, and maybe salvage something? I tried to read as much as I could about it, but couldn't find anything that anyone had posted with similar situation, 4 weeks in, with the end result. I am guessing because there is no significant end result to speak of, aside from a seeded crop/partiallyseeded? I don't know, I am really bummed out.

The lesson probably is to find out what caused the herm, i.e. genetics, stress, whatever. Hopefully I found mine. Hope you figure out yours. Good luck!

HELP!!! is this a hermie or what IS this?

Awesome, I just read the link in my email and hadn't even seen the other replies!@!

    Thank you for the hope!!!!
So THOSE SPLIT TALON things are "nanners".
I thought "nanners" were the yellow, fleshy, banana looking thing that stuck out..
This was a point of confusion for me, could someone help please! Edumacate me!

I was prepared to look for nanners this whole time, and had found and picked what I thought 2 were, all the while what is pictured and described in this thread was also happening, but I had no clue I guess.

So you can pick off the talon things that are split? And what exactly are those? I am guessing male parts? At this point I have too fucking many to pick off, and let them get out of control because I thought that "hey those don't look like nanners, " FUCK!

HELP!!! is this a hermie or what IS this?

i went to town with the tweezers and finger plucking technique, went under her(?) skirt to look fer balls.. found 1, some more potential seed looking balls but with the reddish hairs poppin.

SO: the yellow "talons" are flowers? also called nanners?

and finding the seeds growing in dense bud is really tough (plus my eyes arent so great, gotta find my glasses, feel like thelma from scooby doo)

and if i am correct in my thinking, though stoned as i am, the flowers pollinate, and the balls underneath are seeds, and seeds can be found anywhere in hermie bud as I've seen, but the buds smokable fo' sho!

nanners are flowers, they look like bananas, they split open and blow thier load into the air of your growspace.. pollinating female plants with hermie sauce, resulting in possibly and very likely seeds in your otherwise virginal sensemillia.

Please correct me though if I'm wrong, though I hope I'm correct.

ok here was my experience, I have no idea what you just said by the way!

The nanners, for me, looked totally different than the talon things. I only found the beginings of seeds when I went into a sadistic rage and cut off bits and pieces of him/her. I disected them and looked at them with the 30x.

The nanners that I plucked I almost overlooked because they looked like pistols at a fast glance, but from other pics I have seen here, I knew they must have been nanners.

The talon things? What are those? I don't think they are what are called "nanners", but obviously they are male parts? Help, also, how anyone use Reverse this late in the game, 4 weeks or so into flower? What were the results?

Just to clear things up, 'nanners' is just a silly slang word describing male flowers. When ripe, they look like pairs of bananas hanging from a stem, and I suppose this is where the saying originated.

If you're diligent enough, you can probably pull most of them off of the females before they have a chance to release their pollen. But you'll have to keep a close eye on them, because as you can imagine, they're easy to miss. Also, if you can single out a stressor that caused the plant to hermie (light leaks, other undue stress, etc.) and discover that it wasn't genetics that caused it, you can also save the pollen from the sacs that you find, then later use it to produce feminized seeds.

I think the "talon" things in question must be the seed pods that are fertilized? I am so confused, because I kept telling myself that there were pistol hairs coming out of them, some of them, but I looked at some and you can see the seed forming inside.
What of reverse, will it hault seed formation from here on out? I know that it won't do anything about what is already there. Should the talon things be picked off?
