How to fit a dimmer switch on to your fan?
I have a "Speedster" like pictured above and it works great. For my original cab I used a heavy duty dimmer and it also worked great.
You just want to make sure the dimmer you use is heavy duty enough for the fan you use. You can usually find a wattage rating listed for the dimmer switches. Fans don't always give watts in their specs but they usually do give amps. To calculate the wattage of the fan simply multiply the amps specified by the voltage.
For example, in the U.S., a 2 amp fan would pull 240 watts. (240 watts = 2 amps x 120 volts).
