Well I emailed NORML to consider an ad campaign like the one Nailhead suggested. That campaign drew national media attention, so the goal is to match that. Right now we need the public to recognize that there is a movement here, which is what the proposed ad campaign will do. When people begin to realize that this movement is bigger than a few college stoners who want to get high legally, THEN we should start trying to convince them to join.

Maybe they'll end the letter with something like "But with additional funding from people like you we can make this happen SOMEDAY"

lol... hope it doesnt go like this for you but I've often wondered how much NORML makes and how much NORML spends.;; if you know what I mean.
I've wondered that too, especially when they initially were against Jack Herer's California legalization bill, I mean, how can an organization that claims to promote legalization be against that? They have since changed their stance, but it's left me questioning their effectiveness. But for now I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

I would also e-mail MPP about this idea, that's another good one.

Well I just got an email response today. They basically said that they are already planning a money bomb on 4-20, and will begin advertising the event once the website has been completed, probably sometime this week, maybe next. As for the ad campaign, they said "Ad campaigns are certainly part of NORML's strategy should the funds for such an endeavor become available. Should this project become that successful we will certainly look into the possibilities of an ad campaign."

I hope they are serious about the money bomb, and I hope they know how to manage it properly. The Ron Paul money bombs were mostly successful because of their popular youtube videos that advertised the money bomb, so I hope they can do something similar. Sounds cool!
