That is such hypocritical bull shit. Truth is, if there's nothing in it for big businesses and government, no one gives a crap, and no one does anything about it. Do you realize what's going on in Sudan? the government has killed as many as 300,000 of it's own citizens. Where are the air strikes? Where's Michael Moore? Where's Bush's speach placing Sudan in the 'axis of evil'?

Oil was not the only reason but it had its part.
Back at the beggining of 2001 the price of oil was not high enough to be profitable for American drillers, and experts were predicting a price plunge. Texas and Oklahoma insiders were drilling like crazy. They were spending money on oil drilling equipment and new exploration that was just not profitable at all.
The only place the drillers could have obtained inside information that would make such ventures profitable is from the mouth of George W. Bush himself, a seasoned oil business professional who is now President.
The only information that Bush could give them that would make them believe that the price of oil is going to go up instead of down is that he would engage the United States in a major war in the Middle East.
That is why i think oil had some part in it.

I don't know the details on the oil connection, but I know it exists. My point is that 'Freedom', 'Liberty' and 'Democracy' aren't the reasons the US invaded Iraq, because if they were, then they would be involved in tons of more places. In fact, the US cares so little about dictatorial regimes in other places that the vast majority of Americans do not even know they're going on until Hollywood makes a movie about it 10 years later... *coughHotelRwandacough*

bush TRIED to get into the oil buisness but obviously was not cut out for it.he had a company for about 2 years.believe me,he is not a seasoned oil man.the he became a partner in the Texas Rangers baseball team.Bush 41 is the oil man,not junior.besides my SUV would love some iraqi oil! J/K The debate could go on and on,but what's done is done.I don't think it takes a genius to see that thing's are changing for the better and will continue on that path.hey, someone had to do it.germany, france and russia were to busy with there illegal dealing's to even care.boy, they sure are singing a differant tune now!for a country like france, who was selling anti-tank missles to saddam 2WEEKS before we went in to change the way they are talking, that's huge.
